These brightly coloured scrunchies are made of waste from tailor's shops in Leh, high in the Himalayan mountains. They are made from "silky" fabrics and will always be in assorted designs according to the available waste.
Inside is stitched elastic. We have priced them individually but can supply in sets if required.
The fragile cold desert landscape of Ladakh needs to be protected from waste created by human presence. PAGIR, the group making these scrunchies tries to protect the environment whilst providing employment for people with disabilities.
